The mountain range is protected by National Forest and is about a short, 25-30 minute drive from the classroom. Make this
drive a "must" after class some day as it affords spectacular mountain scenery.
Workshop Location: The DoubleTree by Hilton is located in the heart of Bend's historical waterfront downtown. Classes
will be held in the meeting rooms of the newly renovated hotel. One-of-a-kind shops, restaurants, galleries and the park are
within an easy walk. It is the perfect location for classes painting plein air, and for studio classes to get a quick lunch. The
indoor meeting space provides adjustable heating and air-conditioners, plenty of natural and ceiling light, a sink,
demonstration projection, and individual tables and chairs for students. There are no stairs to climb or charge for parking.
Request an Art in the Mountains rate of $159 for a single king bed or 2 Queen Beds on Sunday through Thursday. The
Friday and Saturday Rate is $189 for a single king or double queen bed room, plus tax. This fee includes a full breakfast.
Class Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and end at 3 p.m. on Friday (exceptions: Whyte and
Simmons). Lunch Hour is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. However, some instructors may elect to take 1.5 hour lunch break
and extend class until 4:30 p.m. Class doors will be open at 1:00 if you return early.
