"The subjects I paint are
recognizable but certainly not
painted in a photographic
manner. The design of my
"painted shapes" are more
important than painting realistic
details. Many times I paint
people. I always paint the
presence of people, even if their
image is absent in the painting.
My work has been described as
abstract but intimate.................
I hope you agree."
Join Judy Morris and her twin sister
    Jacque Brown, both award winning
    watercolorist, as they share unique
    methods of interrupting the world
around them.  For Judy’s studio class,
bring your own photo references.  She
will explain easy steps that will help you
    turn those references into successful
paintings.  Judy will focus on design,
    harmonious color chords, painting
    techniques, and effective finishing
    hints.

Jacque’s focus will be assisting Judy
during class instruction.  She will also
    teach basic techniques necessary to
    create her fabulous travel journals:
    drawing, watercolor sketching, and
    collage.

Judy is the author of Watercolor Basics:
Light.  She has been featured in six
    Splash books and major watercolor
    magazines including  the International
Artist Magazine.  Judy is a signature
member of AWS, NWS, TWSA and
NWWS.  Jacque is the past president of
    the Watercolor Society of Oregon.
