Day One: Introduction, demo by Nessa, and discussion of examples of different media and their application for creating texture; followed by first effort by class to work on small paintings. Day Two: Morning demo by Nessa and critique of previous day; class will start work on larger paintings that may be completed the next day, if necessary. Day Three: Morning demo of Collage by Nessa and preliminary planning of design and composition for a large painting. Day Four: Morning demo by Nessa, and critique; class will complete the previous day painting and start a still larger one. Day Five: Class will complete all unfinished paintings in the morning and the final critique will be held in the afternoon. NOTE: Some paintings will have to dry overnight. |
