Discover one of the finest hotels in Santa Barbara at the Hotel Mar Monte. This classic seaside hotel is a
shining gateway to the City of Santa Barbara, also known as the American Riviera. Hotel Mar Monte is detailed
with a fusion of Spanish Colonial architecture blended with modern conveniences. Built in 1931, this historic
coastal hotel welcomes guests with its casual elegance and first-rate service. Nestled between the Mountains
and the Pacific Ocean, the Hotel Mar Monte is conveniently located on oceanfront Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa
Barbara California, across from East Beach and a quick stroll away from the charming Santa Barbara Zoo.
This is the perfect location for Charles Reid’s workshop, which will take place indoors (with an outdoor ocean
view veranda if you prefer to paint outdoors) at Santa Barbara’s Hotel Mar Monte. We will have our workshop
at the hotel’s Vista Room 1. The studio space opens onto a large veranda looking out on the Pacific Ocean.
We have outdoor heaters if the mornings are chilly and you’d like to paint on the veranda, or you may stay
inside.
The 25 cent Downtown Waterfront Shuttle stops at the hotel and puts you minutes from the historical
downtown Mediterranean style buildings, the best shops, fine restaurants with many outdoor cafes. The hotel
is only a few blocks from Sterns Wharf.
The amenities include an outdoor heated pool and therapy spa, fitness center, Spa Mar Monte, and Bistro
Eleven Restaurant, which serves American Cuisine with California flair. The hotel also offers room service,
complimentary valet or self-parking, valet laundry service, and a business center.
The Hotel Mar Monte in Santa Barbara is a 100% smoke-free hotel. Guests staying at Hotel Mar Monte will
