| Workshop Location: Mel Stabin’s workshop will take place outdoors amid Santa Barbara’s Mediterranean Riviera. We will gather together at the Holiday Inn Hotel Virginia, a beautifully remodeled hotel located within the historical downtown Mediterranean style buildings, the best shops, fine restaurants with many outdoor cafe’s and is only a few blocks from Sterns Wharf. This is the perfect location for Mel Stabin’s plein air workshop and for students arriving without a car. The .25 cent Downtown Waterfront Shuttle stops nearby. Guests staying at Hotel Virginia will appreciate the price for the location (at Haley and State Street) and the very clean, classic California Spanish Revival decor. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the new furniture is cherrywood. The brick accents, faux painting techniques and the french windows take you back in time. Rooms are fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Your choice of one queen or 2 queen room for $152 per night + tax on weekdays, $192 on weekends.
