Beginning to Advanced Painters



    Kathy Dunham is best known for her large floral
    paintings.  An award winning watercolorist, she is a
    juried member of Watercolor West in addition to
    holding membership in the American Society of
    Botanical Artists, the Botanical Artists Guild of
    Southern California and several additional watercolor
    societies.  Her work hangs in private and public
    collections throughout the United States and Canada.   
    She is the author of Artist’s Projects You Can Paint –
    10 Floral Watercolors and has been featured in several
    books and magazines throughout the world.





    Kathy has taught all levels of drawing and watercolor
    at venues such as the The Getty Museum, Palm
    Springs Art Museum, Los Angeles County Arboretum,
    The Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens plus led
    groups on week long workshops into Canyon de
    Chelly, Arizona and to The Dordogne region of
    southwest France.  She also teaches for Royal
    Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity Cruise Lines. She is
    also a certified instructor for the Wilcox School of
    Color.  



    Class Outline

    Designed for all levels, this workshop emphasizes the interactions of color, design and use of value to create dynamic
    paintings.  Focusing on the clarity and creative use of color mixing you will learn how to produce energetic
    watercolors.    Kathy will also share her tips to take the fear out of painting in watercolor and demonstrate how the
    appropriate use of light and shadow will give you a vibrant image.
